Here we have another rare beast! A brand new 5" gauge Prussian P8 (later DRG Class 38), built rather nicely to the Clarkson design. A particularly crisply made model, and although a little plain in terms of detail, she is built a really nice standard of model engineering. The boiler is brand new, having seen only one test fire to date, and is very neatly and professionally made. We will of course do a full 4 year fresh hydraulic test on her and sort out a fresh annual steam test as well before she leaves the workshop.
There is an injector, an axle pump with footplate mounted bypass and a hand pump in the tender. Lubrication is mechanical and hidden in the usual place under the front footplate.
